About this place
Kamikokoro Shuzo is a sake-brewing company in Okayama Prefecture that produces liquor, centered on sake. Kamikokoro Shuzo was founded by the first head, Fujii Chojuro. The second head, Matsusaburo, devoted himself to sake brewing and was also deeply religious; he brought a branch of the Matsunoo Shrine in Kyoto, the god of sake, to Ohura Shrine in Yorishima-cho. The sake name Kamikokoro is said to come from his wish to "brew sake with a pure body and heart," for which he chose a word with the same sound as kamikokoro ("heart of the gods", written with different characters).
