The sword museum in Setouchi. It collects Japanese swords and carries out conservation science and demonstrations of sword forging.
About this place
Bizen Osafune Japanese Sword Museum is a museum exhibiting swords in Osafune, Osafune-cho, Setouchi, Okayama Prefecture. It was originally established as the Osafune Town Museum; when Osafune, Oku and Ushimado towns merged, a workshop was added and the museum was renewed in Heisei 16 (2004) to become a museum specialising in swords. As of 2020 it mainly exhibits Bizen swords made in the former Bizen Province.
