About this place
Asahara Shuzo Co., Ltd. is a Japanese sake brewing company with its head office in Moroyama, Saitama Prefecture. It makes liqueurs and the like in addition to sake. Asahara Zenjiro, born near Lake Biwa, who had worked from the age of 9 at a sake brewery in Ome, Tokyo, founded it in Moro at the age of 29. The present president, Asahara Kenichi, felt that "sake is finished," but says his thinking changed one day when he drank delicious sake. He believes that young talent is needed for the future of sake.
