A sake brewery in Chichibu. It uses underground water from Mount Buko as its brewing water.
About this place
Bukou Shuzo Co., Ltd. is a Japanese sake brewing company with head office and factory in Miyagawacho, Chichibu, Saitama Prefecture. Founded in 1753 (3rd year of Horeki). Until it built the Yanagita main store at its present location, it moved several times in search of good water. The brewery, husk storehouse and aging storehouse were built by the 8th head, Hasegawa Kamekichi. The store building was built by the 7th head and is the oldest building remaining in the Chichibu valley.
