About this place
Nagahama Railway Square is a municipally owned railway preservation and exhibition facility in Nagahama, Shiga Prefecture. The Nagahama Railway Museum opened on October 14, 2000 (Heisei 12) next to the old Nagahama Station building (designated in the first round of Railway Memorials), and the Hokuriku Line Electrification Memorial Hall opened next to it on July 17, 2003 (Heisei 15). At that time, these three facilities were collectively named "Nagahama Railway Square."
