About this place
The Meguro Incineration Plant is a refuse incineration plant of the Tokyo Metropolitan 23 Wards Cleaning Association at 2-19-43 Mita, Meguro Ward, Tokyo. It has an incineration capacity of 600 tons a day. It supplies heat to the neighboring Meguro Ward Citizens' Center. Its west side faces the Meguro River, and its east side adjoins a residential area across a buffer green zone. Because of aging it was demolished once, and a new plant was completed in March 2023. The chimney is 150 m high. October 1987 (Showa 62) - Construction of the old plant begins.
