Fuji Chemical Industries Co., Ltd. is a pharmaceutical manufacturer based in Kamiichi, Nakaniikawa District, Toyama Prefecture. It has developed the antacid Neusilin (magnesium aluminometasilicate), the excipients Fujicalin and F-MELT, and the astaxanthin raw material AstaReal. Astaxanthin in particular was the first in the world to be successfully produced commercially on a stable basis. It is the only company in Japan that owns a spray dryer at production scale (as of 2016).
