About this place
Sugai Chemical Industry Co., Ltd. is a maker with its head office in Wakayama, Wakayama Prefecture, that makes and sells chemicals such as pharmaceutical intermediates, agrochemical active ingredients and intermediates, functional chemicals, surfactants, and dye and pigment intermediates. January 1928 - Founded the Sugai Chemical Factory in Kozaika, Wakayama, and began making para dyes. 1933 - Built a new factory at 183 Usu, Wakayama, and moved. 1949 - Succeeded in domestic production of the pigment intermediate "Tobias acid."
