About this place
Shinokura Shrine is a shrine in Shinokura, Ono, Fukui. It is an Engishiki-listed small shrine and its former shrine rank was prefectural shrine. Onamuchi no Okami Sukunabikona no Mikoto Ichikishimahime no Mikoto Honda Wake no Mikoto Konohanasakuya-hime no Mikoto According to its history, in March of 717 (Yoro 1), the master Taicho, having decided to climb Mount Haku from Asauzu, arrived at Ono, where there was a place in the woods south of the shrine from which clear spring water flowed, and he spent about ten days there.
