Shofukuji is a temple name found throughout Japan. Shofukuji (Hachimantai) - a Soto-sect temple in Hachimantai, Iwate Prefecture. Shofukuji (Satte) - a Jodo-sect temple in Satte, Saitama Prefecture. A temple that once existed in Kamakura, Kanagawa Prefecture. It was built by Hojo Tokiyori, regent of the Kamakura shogunate, in prayer for the health and long life of two of his sons (childhood names Shojumaru and Fukujumaru). A monument remains on the site. Shofukuji (Shirahama, Wakayama Prefecture) - a Rinzai-sect (Myoshinji branch) temple in Shirahama, Wakayama Prefecture.
