About this place
Hakusan Chukyo Shrine is a shrine in Ishidoshiro, Shirotori-cho, Gujo, Gifu. It is one of the Hakusan shrines and is deeply connected to Hakusan faith. The path of Hakusan faith from Mino Province runs from Hakusan Chugu Nagataki-ji (now Nagataki Hakusan Shrine, Choryuji) through Hakusan Chukyo Shrine in Echizen Province to Mount Haku. Together with Nagataki Hakusan Shrine and Suhara Shrine on the Hakusan Mino Zenjo-do, it is a center of Hakusan faith. It stands on the left bank of the Ishidoshiro River at its confluence with the tributary Miya River, and a bridge spans the approach.
