About this place
Mitake Shrine is a shrine that enshrines Zao Gongen. It is also called Kinpu Shrine (Kinbu Jinja, Kinpu Jinja, Kinpo Jinja or Mitake Jinja). The head shrine is the Zao Gongen Hall of Kinpusenji in Yoshino. (However, as listed below, note that some are 'Ontake Shrines' (Ontake Jinja) of the Kiso Ontakesan faith (Ontake-ko and Ontake-kyo).)
