About this place
Kishiki Shrine is a shrine in Kishikicho, Kishiwada, Osaka. Its former shrine rank was village-district shrine (gosha). It stands east of Kishiwada Castle and is known for the miyairi of the Kishiwada Danjiri Festival. Amaterasu Sume Omikami (formerly the tutelary deity of Kishiwada Village) In this area there was originally a Shinmei-sha enshrining Amaterasu Sume Omikami, invited from Ise Jingu, and it was worshiped as the tutelary deity of what are now Miyamotocho, Kamimachi and Gokenyacho.
