About this place
Konda Hachimangu is a shrine in Konda, Habikino, Osaka. Its former shrine rank was prefectural shrine. It stands adjoining the south side of Konda Gobyoyama Kofun (the mausoleum of Emperor Ojin). According to the shrine's tradition, it was founded in 559 (Kinmei 20), when Emperor Kinmei, aiming to restore Mimana, set up a shrine in front of Emperor Ojin's mausoleum, and it claims to be the oldest Hachimangu.
