About this place
Nasu Shrine is a shrine in Minamikanamaru, Otawara, Tochigi. Its former shrine rank was village-level shrine (gosha). Its main hall and tower gate are Important Cultural Properties under the Cultural Properties Protection Law, and the whole precinct is designated a place of scenic beauty. Together with Fukuhara Hachimangu (in the same city) and Miyahara Hachimangu (Nasukarasuyama), it was called the 'Three Hachiman of the Soja' of Nasu District. Its other names are Kanamaru Hachimangu and Yose Hachimangu.
