About this place
Yasakaji is a Koyasan Shingon-sect temple in Kaiyo, Kaifu District, Tokushima Prefecture. Its mountain name is Yasakazan and its subtemple name is Shogakuin. The principal image is Kobo Daishi. It is an extra-numbered (bangai) temple of the Shikoku 88 Temple Pilgrimage, Temple No. 4 of the Shikoku Betsuhaku 20 Temples, and the Hotei temple of the Awa Seven Lucky Gods Pilgrimage. It is popularly known as Saba Daishi Honbo or Saba Daishi.
