Overview
A dam lake along National Route 341. The mountains show on the water in new green and in autumn colour.
About this place
A reservoir in the Omagari, Kakunodate and Lake Tazawa area of Akita. It stretches along National Route 341, and you can enjoy the view from the dam park. From the Shin-Tamagawa Ohashi bridge upstream you can see a submerged forest when the water is high and a wetland-like scene when it is low. There is also an autumn scene of foliage reflected on the cobalt-blue surface. From March 2027 (Reiwa 9) to March 2032 (Reiwa 14), the submerged forest cannot be seen because of large-scale improvement work.
