Overview
A shallow shore at Oga. On windless days the wet sand mirrors the sky.
About this place
At low tide, shallows appear up to about 200 m offshore, and the coast is lively with people playing on the rocky shore. On a 1,500 m shoreline from the south of the Oga Peninsula to Taishima, the scenery reflected in the mirror-like water is also called "Akita's Uyuni Salt Flat," and it was chosen as one of Japan's 100 Best Beaches.
