Overview

A three-tier waterfall at Kawabe in Akita City. The water is clear to the riverbed.

About this place

A waterfall in Kawabe, Akita, characterized by a gentle three-tiered flow and water so clear that the riverbed can be seen. You can stroll while watching the flow up close. It can be enjoyed in any season: fresh green, autumn leaves at their best from late October to early November, and snowy scenery in winter. In winter, rubber boots are essential because of snow, and the emerald-green water that flows without freezing contrasts with the white snow.
