Overview
A hot spring at about 1,100 metres on Hachimantai, the oldest in the Hachimantai hot-spring district.
About this place
The oldest long-established hot spring in the Hachimantai Onsen area, about 1,100 m above sea level in Hachimantai, Akita. With two kinds of source water and an ondol geothermal bath, it is called the "hot spring for having children." The open-air mixed-gender bath has three types, a square bath, a barrel bath and a rock bath, and you can enjoy a 360-degree grand panorama. Meals are creative deep-mountain medicinal cuisine using wild vegetables and river fish.
