A bear zoo in Kitaakita, Akita. Opened in 1990, it offers bear-feeding experiences and, in the Brown Bear House newly built in 2014, face-to-face encounters through glass. During the winter closure there is a hibernation viewing event where you can see hibernating Asian black bears through the cage.
