About this place
A tourist information center in a large storehouse-style building in front of JR Kakunodate Station. Look for the white-walled building on the right as you leave the station building. It gives directions to the samurai residences and information on restaurants and lodging, keeps tourist brochures and maps, and you can watch tourist videos of Akita. Inside is free to rest, and it can also be used while waiting for trains and buses.
