About this place
Tanga Market is a market and shopping street in Uomachi, Kokurakita Ward, Kitakyushu, Fukuoka. Many food shops and restaurants are gathered here, and it is called the kitchen of Kitakyushu. It is located on the east side of the Kantake River and connects to Uomachi Ginten-gai across Komonji-dori. It is an arcade, and the north entrance long housed Maruwa, Japan's first 24-hour supermarket; since March 1, 2019, following a change of operator, it has been Yume Mart.
