Ainoshima is an island in the Hibiki Sea belonging to Kokurakita Ward, Kitakyushu, Fukuoka. As part of the Chikuzen Islands, it is an area implementing remote island development measures under the Remote Island Development Act. The island's area is about 0.68 square kilometers. As an administrative place name, "Ainoshima" is an oaza (large district) of Kokurakita Ward, Kitakyushu, Fukuoka, and the entire island falls under it. Its postal code is 802-0091. It is located about 12 km northwest of Asano in Kokurakita Ward, near the center of Kitakyushu, and about 5 km north of the coast of the Hibiki Sea reclaimed land in Wakamatsu Ward.
