About this place
A mystical forest in Itadori, Seki, Gifu Prefecture, where cedars of a distinctive shape, rare even nationwide, grow in colonies. More than 50 kabusugi scattered in the park are estimated to be 400 to 500 years old. New shoots come out of old trees and felled trunks, and each grows into more than 10 trunks from the base of one tree. It lies within the grounds of the 21st Century Forest Park, and is free of charge.
