About this place
A limestone cave in Tama, Sekigahara, Gifu Prefecture. The temperature in the cave is 15 degrees, cool in summer and warm in winter. You can observe strange formations made by stalagmites, rainbow trout swimming in the welling clear water, and Paleozoic fossils. It is 518 m from the entrance to the exit and takes about 20 minutes. Admission is 700 yen for adults (junior high school students and older), 300 yen for children (elementary school students) and 200 yen for small children.
