About this place
Sakatsura Isosaki Shrine is a shrine in Hitachinaka, Ibaraki Prefecture. It is an Engishiki-listed shrine (Myojin Taisha). Its former shrine rank was Kokuhei Chusha, and it is now a Beppyo shrine of the Association of Shinto Shrines. It stands on a hill on a cape facing the Pacific Ocean in eastern Ibaraki Prefecture. It is said to be closely related to Oarai Isosaki Shrine in Oarai on the opposite bank of the Naka River, and the two shrines form a single faith. Sukunahikona no Mikoto Said to have built the land together with Onamuchi no Mikoto. Onamuchi no Mikoto Another name of Okuninushi no Mikoto (Onamuchi no Mikoto).
