About this place
A park in Tsukuba built on the site of the 1985 Science Expo. Its symbol is the 10 m memorial tower "Gate of Science," completed in January 1988, in which the silver ball shows the faces of four scientists depending on the viewing direction. The park has a lawn plaza, a pond, an iris garden and five all-weather tennis courts. In late March to early April, 300 Somei Yoshino cherry trees bloom.
