About this place
A swimming beach in Juo-cho, Hitachi, Ibaraki. A swimming beach where the green of a pine woodland and white sand continue along the coast, among Japan's 100 Best White Sand and Green Pine Coasts and also one of the 100 Best Swimming Beaches. The day-trip natural hot spring facility "Ukurai no Yu Juo" is close by, and it is known as a landing place for Japanese cormorants. Open period: July 18 to August 23, 2026.
