About this place
A shrine in Hanazono, Hanagawa-cho, Kitaibaraki, Ibaraki, said to have been founded by the shogun Sakanoue no Tamuramaro. The vermilion main hall and Nio gate stand out against the green of the trees, and rhododendrons bloom in spring. Many worshippers come from all over Japan hoping for the blessings of the "cedar for children and safe childbirth" on the grounds.
