Overview
Built to be toured, so almost all the process can be seen. It makes close to 200 kinds of ice cream, with a tasting after the tour.
About this place
An ice cream factory tour facility at the Seika Foods Hioki Plant in Ijuin, Hioki, Kagoshima Prefecture. Completed in October 2017 and built on 8,700 tsubo of land, it was designed for tours, so you can see almost the entire manufacturing process. After the tour there is a tasting, and the first floor of the factory lines up costumes of past mascot characters. Tours are held twice a day on weekdays.
