The north end of the Fukiagehama prefectural nature park, one of Japan's three great dune fields, with three kilometres of white sand and pines.
About this place
A coast in Terushima, Ichikikushikino, Kagoshima Prefecture. On the west coast of the Satsuma Peninsula facing the East China Sea, it is at the northern end of Fukiagehama Prefectural Natural Park. A dune coast of about 3 km of white sand and green pines, with Terushima Shrine, a retro arched bridge and the sunset as photo spots. There are Kushikinohama horse races in spring and light and illumination events in summer and winter.
