About this place
The ruins of a Meiji-era hydroelectric power plant 1.5 km downstream of Sogi Falls in Isa. Completed in 1909 (Meiji 42), it had one of the largest outputs in Japan at the time. It was submerged by the completion of Tsuruta Dam in 1965 (Showa 40), but in the dry season from May to September the brick building appears.
