About this place
A sand steam bath hot spring on Fushime Coast in Kagoshima Prefecture. You dig into the beach sand, lie down, and are covered with sand to take in the heat of the hot spring welling up beneath, and you start to sweat in about 10 to 15 minutes. Its benefits include arthritis, stiff shoulders, back pain and sensitivity to cold, and the water is a sodium chloride spring. It reopened after renovation on December 5, 2024.
