Overview
A shrine where you make your wish with a pot lid balanced on your head.
About this place
A shrine in Ei, Minamikyushu, Kagoshima Prefecture, standing on a rocky reef jutting out of an inlet, enshrining Susanoo no Mikoto. It is known for the Kamabuta wish-making, in which a wish is said to come true if you walk from the torii to the worship hall with a pot lid on your head without dropping it. Behind the shrine is Kibo no Misaki, from which you can see both Mt. Kaimon and the reef area at once.
