Overview
A shrine at Nagasakibana, honouring the princess of the dragon palace.
About this place
A shrine at Nagasakibana in Okojinomizu, Yamagawa, Ibusuki. Nagasakibana is a cape jutting out at the southernmost tip of the Satsuma Peninsula, with a view of Mt. Kaimon across the sea and, on clear days, as far as Yakushima and Iojima. It enshrines Toyotamahime (Otohime-sama), and the Ryugu legend is tied to the myth of Umisachihiko and Yamasachihiko. It is said that your wish comes true if you go around Urashima Taro twice and stroke the turtle.
