About this place
A swimming beach at the northern end of Tanegashima, in Kunigamiurata, Nishinoomote, Kagoshima Prefecture. One of the 88 Bathing Beaches of Japan, its white sand beach of dunes formed at the back of an inlet is beautiful, and the seawater is highly transparent. Fishing and scuba diving are also possible, and there are a campsite and the general information center Seaside House. Open from Golden Week to mid-September.
