About this place
A hot spring on Iojima in Mishima Village, Kagoshima Prefecture. With Mt. Iodake as a backdrop, it wells up on a rocky area where white waves crash, and its wild open-air bath is popular with secret hot spring fans across the country. The water is a sulfur alum spring, selected as one of the 100 Famous Hot Springs of Japan. About 10 minutes by car from Iojima Port.
