A drop of about 60 metres, falling at the foot of Mount Mocchomu.
About this place
A waterfall in Mugio, Yakushima, Kagoshima Prefecture. It lies in a grand V-shaped valley carved by the Tainokawa River into a huge granite bedrock, with a drop of about 60 meters. Its name comes from the bedrock on the left side of the falls being about the size of a thousand people holding hands, and after rain you can see an impressive sight. From the observation point it is somewhat distant.
