Overview
A sandbar off the east of Yoronjima that appears with the season and the tide.
About this place
A phantom sandy beach that appears seasonally on the east side of Yoron Island in Kagoshima Prefecture. It usually appears from spring to autumn off Ogane-ku Coast, only at low tide during medium to spring tides. The time, position and size at which it appears differ from day to day, and there is a saying that you will be happy if you pick up as many star sand grains as your age.
