Overview
Round stones worn by the Pacific swell lie spread across the shore.
About this place
A coast on Amami Oshima in Setouchi, Oshima District, Kagoshima Prefecture. Facing the Pacific Ocean, the stones and gravel on the beach have been washed by rough waves into rounded cobbles. When the waves retreat, you can hear the stones rubbing with a sound like a drum. Strange rocks tower along the coast, with caves as well, and boat fishing and rock fishing are possible. Taking the cobbles away is prohibited.
