About this place
A heart-shaped natural tidal pool that appears on the white sandy beach only at low tide, in Akaogi, Tatsugo, Amami Oshima, Kagoshima Prefecture. A hidden spot popular with couples and not widely known even locally. As of 2025, even during times when the tide is low it is often buried in sand by strong winds and cannot be seen.
