About this place
Enoshima is a tied island in Fujisawa, Kanagawa Prefecture, and also the name of the town covering the whole island. It is a leading tourist spot of the Shonan area. There are 1-chome and 2-chome Enoshima, and address indication is in effect throughout. Its postal code is 251-0036 (Fujisawa Post Office jurisdiction). It is a scenic district under the Landscape Act, and in Fujisawa's landscape plan the Enoshima district is designated the Enoshima Special Landscape Formation District. Besides Enoshima, the name is also seen written in other forms (described later).
