About this place
A statue of Luffy, captain of the Straw Hat Pirates from the manga ONE PIECE, in the Kumamoto City area. It is one of 10 statues installed in the prefecture as part of the ONE PIECE Kumamoto Reconstruction Project, which supports recovery from the 2016 Kumamoto earthquake, and was installed in fiscal 2018.
