Amu Plaza Kumamoto is a large complex commercial facility and fashion building of the station-building type directly connected to Kumamoto Station in Nishi Ward, Kumamoto, Kumamoto Prefecture. It is operated by JR Kumamoto City, a subsidiary of Kyushu Railway Company (JR Kyushu). This entry also describes JR Kumamoto City, including the commercial facilities attached to this facility as its core. It fully opened on April 23, 2021. It is the 7th of the 'Amu Plaza' series that JR Kyushu develops in cities across Kyushu, and boasts the largest scale after Amu Plaza Hakata of JR Hakata City.
