About this place
A swimming beach in Ushibuka in the Amakusa area of Kumamoto Prefecture. A natural swimming beach, rare even in the prefecture, about 15 minutes by car from the center of Ushibuka. It has a sandy beach and rocky areas in the sea, and the color of the sea is said to change with the time. Sea turtles sometimes appear to lay eggs around May to June. Changing rooms, showers and toilets are available.
