About this place
Kyusendo is a limestone cave beneath Mt. Gongen (elevation 694 m), which stands on a rock wall called Yaridaoshi on National Route 219, which runs along the Kuma River in Kuma Village, Kuma District, Kumamoto Prefecture. Part of the cave has been developed for tourism, and you can enter and see the interior. Also, National Route 219 and the end point of the Kuma River boat rides and rafting from Hitoyoshi are very close, and many people stop by on the way, making it a tourism base for the area.
