Overview
A park in Itsuki with a limestone cliff 70 metres high and 200 wide.
About this place
A park along Prefectural Route 25 in Kumamoto Prefecture, on the way from Yatsushiro to Itsuki Village. It has a steep limestone cliff (70 m high, 200 m wide), and the rock face looks like a waterfall, which is the origin of the name Shirataki. Below the cliff flows an emerald green clear stream, which becomes a place for river play in summer. There are also a small limestone cave about 15 m deep and a suspension bridge.
