About this place
A comprehensive cultural facility in Nakagyo Ward, Kyoto, that introduces the history and culture of Kyoto. The general exhibition room presents fine works related to Kyoto according to the planned exhibition, and the film theater (3rd floor) shows classic and masterpiece films held by Kyoto Prefecture. The Roji Shops on the 1st floor reproduce the facade of Kyoto townhouses of the late Edo period. The annex, the former Kyoto branch of the Bank of Japan, is a national Important Cultural Property.
