About this place
Goza Shirahama Beach is a swimming beach in Goza, Shima-cho, Shima, Mie Prefecture. A beach at the tip of the Shima Peninsula, it was selected as one of the Ministry of the Environment's 'Top 100 Pleasant Bathing Beaches', and also as one of 'Japan's 55 Bathing Beaches' and 'Japan's 88 Bathing Beaches.' The water quality is good. In the 2010 (Heisei 22) water quality survey, it was rated 'AA' (the highest). A swimming beach characterized by its white sandy beach. There are many beach huts and auto campsites. Parking is paid (about 800 yen per day) Showers (paid) and a snack stand are available.
